“My mother fought cancer for almost a decade and died at 56. She held out long enough to meet the first of her grandchildren and to hold them in her arms. But my other children will never have the chance to know her and experience how loving and gracious she was. I decided to be proactive and to minimize the risk as much I could. I made a decision to have a preventive double mastectomy.
Life comes with many challenges. The ones that should not scare us are the ones we can take on and take control of” - My Medical Choice by Angelina Jolie, New York Times (14 May, 2013)
There once was a young boy with a very bad temper. The boy’s father wanted to teach him a lesson, so he gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper he must hammer a nail into their wooden fence.
On the first day of this lesson, the little boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. He was really mad!
Over the course of the next few weeks, the little boy began to control his temper, so the number of nails that were hammered into the fence dramatically decreased.
It wasn’t long before the little boy discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.
Then, the day finally came when the little boy didn’t lose his temper even once, and he became so proud of himself, he couldn’t wait to tell his father.
Pleased, his father suggested that he now pull out one nail for each day that he could hold his temper.
Several weeks went by and the day finally came when the young boy was able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.
Very gently, the father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence.
“You have done very well, my son,” he smiled, “but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same.”
The little boy listened carefully as his father continued to speak.
“When you say things in anger, they leave permanent scars just like these. And no matter how many times you say you’re sorry, the wounds will still be there.”
So today Angelina Jolie had double mastectomy, which is the removal of one’s breasts, to prevent Breast cancer. So instead of praising Angelina on her bravery, men on Twitter decided to ridicule her, even calling her stupid for removing her breasts. For those of you on Tumblr that are attacking Feminists for being delusional about sexism against women and misogyny here’s your fucking proof that sexism and misogyny exists.
Okay but like she had this done months ago and only recently had the process finished up. Not to mention the fact that she had implants put in in place of her breast tissue so it’s not like she doesn’t have boobs anymore.
Unfortunately, this is a real restaurant and that is a real response. Their page was not hacked and thus trolled (that I know of). The owners are just really crazy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6LY7TJ16pg
holy FUCK watch that video
i just watched that video (and the part 2). unbelievable
I’m like 7 minutes in and jesus christ
HOLY BALLS, I SAW THE FULL EPISODE ABOUT THIS TRAIN-WRECK OF A RESTAURANT.
GORDON RAMSAY LEFT THE RESTAURANT WITHOUT CHANGING IT BECAUSE HE SAID HE WAS SCARED AND DISTURBED BY THE PLACE AND IT’S OWNERS.
LET ME REPEAT THAT.
GORDON FUCKING RAMSAY SAID HE WAS SCARED AND DISTURBED BY HOW VICIOUS THE OWNERS ARE.
Signal boost. Let’s make sure they go out of business.
Do it, omfg I’m disgusted.
This is some bullshit. I can’t even. Poor Chef Ramsay.
That episode where you find out that a member of the zany villain squad actually has a heartbreaking past, which includes a bit where he pushes himself to perform a feat that has never been done before and has never been done since, all for the sake of love, only to be rejected as a freak.
All three of them have heartbreaking pasts.
Meowth’s was listed above.
James had abusive (at the very least neglectful, but they didn’t care how he was treated so long as he awarded them prestige) parents who had engaged him to a sociopath, who wanted to whip him and change everything about him to be more “presentable.” He ran away and was on the streets for a long time before he finally joined a crime ring.
Jesse was raised by a single mother, and the two of them were so poor that they rarely had actual food; her mother would make her a “feast” out of snow in the winter that Jesse considered to be a treat because that’s how badly they were starving. If the audio dramas are to be believed, Jesse’s mother was also a member of Team Rocket, who disappeared (read: died) on an expedition searching for Mew, leaving Jesse alone. And then Jesse, like James (and Meowth) was so desperate for a means to survive that she (inadvertently?) followed in her mother’s footsteps and joined Team Rocket/a life of crime just to get by.
“Zany villains” they may be, but Jesse, James, and Meowth are the three deepest characters on the show. I love them.
Didn’t Jesse also go to a Pokemon nursing school, but was ultimately told she couldn’t graduate because she wasn’t a Chansey, but some nice ass Chansey split their necklace and gave it to her? Like.. They’ve got deeper stories than any of the protagonists.
A young woman and her service dog caused quite a stir over the weekend when they both showed up to her college graduation ceremony dressed in matching caps and gowns.

People are butts about gender sometimes! So here is a comic talking about how it really isn’t a big deal!
When I was with James this week I wrote a little poem about gender
and decided to draw a comic for said poem.
Hope you guys enjoy!
I’m only a butt about genders because I worry about the kids. When you’re a trans or marry a same sex partner, you no longer have the option of bearing children between the 2 of you. You could still adopt, but either you miss the beginning of their life like their first steps but they at least they understand why; You adopt them close to when they are born, so when they start to go to school they get the hard questions like Why do you have 2 moms/dads and none of the other role? Then you still have to explain to them that you aren’t their real parents sometime which could cause many emotional problems; Even if they don’t become too frustrated finding that out, they will have a tough time growing up in a society that has been man and wife for centuries.I’m mostly talking about the guys here, but even if a woman gets a sperm donation the kid will ask who their daddy is.
I’m not saying don’t get married to who you love, or don’t have kids. I’m only saying it will be probably difficult to raise them to be as understanding as you are; Each person is different
what the fuck is wrong with you
why would you write this on my comic and think it was acceptable
having two parents of the same gender has nothing to do with how your children are raised. NOTHING. perhaps we should be teaching our children that there is nothing wrong with having two moms or two dads. Maybe then, children wouldn’t get bullied. but of course, blaming the parents of a bullying victim is just so easy, isn’t it?
i’m sure you wouldn’t be saying this about straight couples who adopt.
oh, and by the way, my father isn’t my biological father and he’s loved me more than my “real” father ever could, so fuck off with these preconceived, completely irrational notions of adoption, “real parents”, and same-gender couples. seriously.
what the fuck is wrong with you
